Roland founded Netcafe, one of the pioneering internet cafes in Angeles City. Netcafe became
popular among students writing school papers and having them transcribed — and that's how we
began providing services for a freelance talent marketplace in 2003. Our transcription
service kicked off a chain of referrals from satisfied clients.
Our venture branched into customer service, becoming the number-one Admin Services provider
for a freelance marketplace company three years in a row. That track record prompted them to
hire TopData as their first-tier customer support provider, with 16 agents on the team. In
2005 we started providing content management services to a food and beverage company while
still operating as an internet cafe. When the team grew to four full-time employees, the
project moved to our founder's backyard. That account is still active today, with over 30
editors.
TopData moved to our first rented office in front of the Carmelite Monastery in Angeles
City, where we stayed for seven years. A project that started in 2009 with four agents
answering emails and chats was later moved to the company's first branch office at Entec 2.
A decade later, that project is still growing rapidly.
In March 2013, we inaugurated our headquarters. Since then, we have hired only the best
people, with the aim of providing world-class service to every customer of every brand we
represent. Our leadership training has become one of the finest in the industry — and we use
outstanding methods to develop our people for excellent customer experience in every
interaction.
And we've kept evolving. The team that started with transcriptions in an internet cafe now
pairs with modern AI tooling on every account — OCR and validation for back-office work,
ticket classification for support, summarization and draft assistance for virtual
assistance. The same standards we set in 2005 demand that we use the best tools available
today.
It was a humble beginning, but we made it here — and we are not going anywhere. While we
create impact in the BPO industry, we never lose sight of the most important contributors to
our success: our frontliners. We are committed to improving the lives of our employees and
